Ich habe auch gewonnen!

I did win, too!

And not just the kind of “we draw a winner”, no, a real price, chosen by a jury and that, ain’t that cool!?! I still can hardly get it, me, who was the worst pupil in knitting and needlecraft at school. Tho one whose scarf would hardly make 50cm while others did two long ones in the same time… I was judged to become a prize for a scarf! (Okay, as number ten, but still…) I can only find that so cool!!

But maybe I should tell the whole story from the beginning… quite a while ago the OZ Verlag (they edit craft books) started a competition for the most creative scarf. Well, I had yarn, an idea jumped through my brain… and I did something. A scarf that includes bonnet and hand warmers.

I had not seriously thought about winning, but as I wanted to try my idea anyhow and the scarf was finished in time I sent in my photo. After having seen what the other had done I was sure mine was far out of the real competition.

So I was really surprised when I recived an email that I was among the winners and had the right to choose a book from them. That was real work… I hadn’t realized how many sewing, knitting and crocheting books OZ-Verlag has. I only knew them for more non textile crafty stuff which interests me far less. Finally I decided for a knitting book of Kaffee Fasset. More intended to be a coffee table book, but since I have it here I feel the itch to knit more than one of the items. Whenever that may happen…

(And because someone already asked: I will put up the pattern for the scarf in the blog. It’s really easy to do.)
