Winter”slip”

In halbfertig habe ich es ja schon gezeigt, aber jetzt ist das Unterkleid ganz fertig. Damit ich mein Strickkleid vom letzten Winter auch endlich mal anziehen kann.

I’d already shown the halfway done version, but now it is finished my long sleeved “slip”. So I will be able to wear my knit dress I’ve made last winter.

Der Schnitt ist aus einer Knip von 2010, den ich zuerst fürchterlich fand, der sich aber inzwischen als Nachthemd durchaus bewährt hat. Vor allem seit ich den Ausschnitt mit Falzgummi etwas einhalte. (Meine Puppe ist einige Kleidergrößen schlanker als ich, an mir liegt der Stoff glatt an.) Der Stoff ist ganz feiner Baumwolljersey mit Elasthan in petrol von Sacré Coupon in Paris.

The pattern is from a Knip from 2010 and i’d found it awful in the first version. But meanwhile it’s one of my standards for nightshirts. Especially since I am holding in the neckline a bit with fold over elastic. (My dummy is some sizes smaller than me, on my body the neckline has not ruching but is flat.) The fabric is a fine cotton knit with elasthan in teal which I got from Sacré Coupon in Paris.

Und hier noch ein kleines Detail: Ich halte die vordere Mitte nicht mit Zugbändern ein, wie vorgesehen, sondern raffe einmal und nähe ein Band auf. Künftig muß ich nicht mehr nachmessen, wie stark ich immer einhalte, ich kann es ablesen. 😉

And here a small detail: For ruching the front middle I am not using draw strings (as the instructions suggest) but I am ruching it once and sew it down with a bit of trim or braid. And next time I will not have to measure how much I want it ruched… I can just read the measurement. 😉
