Jacket Biker Style, the result
Nach all den vielen Teilbeiträgen jetzt auch endlich mal ein Bild von der fertigen Jacke. Die Aufschläge knallen farblich gut, so war es auch gedacht. 🙂

After all those posts about details here finally a picture of the finished vest. The lapels are a statement, as expected. 🙂

Natürlich kann man es auch asymmetrisch öffnen, dann ist es wärmer und etwas geschlossener.

Of course I can open it asymmetrically. Then it’s a bit warmer and looks kind of closed.

Und falls es jemand noch nicht mitbekommen hat: Der Oberstoff ist ein Reststück von Malhia Kent, die Belege sind aus Leinen, einem Coupon von Sacrés Coupons in Paris, das Futter ist das bewährte Venezia Futter. (Natürlich auch in knallpink, was sonst?)

And if there is somebody out there who does not know yet: The fabric was a remnant from Malhia Kent, the facings are a linen coupon from Sacrés Coupons also in Paris. The lining is my trusted Venezia. (Also in shocking pink, what else?)

Die Reißverschlüsse kommen ebenfalls so gut zur Geltung, wie ich es geplant hatte. Sie sind von Opti und ich habe mir die Kombination aus knallpink mit den Zähnchen in Alt Messing extra anfertigen lassen. Diesen Service bietet Plissee Becker in Köln und ich fand es nicht wesentlich teurer als diese Reißverschlüsse “von der Stange”.

What also turned out as I had expected it are the zippers. Those are zippers from Opti and I had them custom made to get the combination of shocking pink on the band and tarnished brass. This service is offered by Plissee Becker in Cologne. And I did not think it was so much more expensive than the standard zippers.

Nicht ganz so vorteilhaft ist der Look bei geschlossener Jacke.

When the jacket is closed it does not look as good on me.

Wobei ich denke, das könnte zu einer Hose wieder anders aussehen. Zu einer lässigen Jeans, zum Beispiel.

Though I think it might look differently with pants, like a pair of denim.

Jetzt habe ich also Rock und Jacke von meinem Outfit (das mal im Frühjahr 2014 genäht werden sollte…), zwei Shirts kommen noch dazu. Stoff und Schnitt sind schon da, aber vorher kommt erst noch eine Runde Unterwäsche.

Now I have skirt and jacket from my outfit (which originally was supposed to be sewn for spring 2014…). Two tops are still to be made. pattern and fabric are already there. But before I start those there is some lingery to do.
