Verspäteter Nadelblick: Dezember 2014

Late, but fresh from the needles: December 2014

I wont show you the wrap blouse and also the nearly finished bra. The shirt is constantly my “next” project, but there is always something more urgent coming in…. And for the bra… I am not happy with the sealing of the cut bra wires, so I am not extremely motivated to go on.

One of those urgent projects is a kind of a long sleeved slip. I’ve finished a knit dress in spring, which I can’t wear without a “under dress”. (This is also why I’ve never shown the finished dress here on the blog.) Over the summer this was not urgent, but now it’s cold… so a warm dress would be a useful garment.

The patter is the one from Knip which I had not liked when I made it for the first time. And which also proved to be useful for night wear.

Then my pre-Christmas mass production has started. Those are supposed to become Christmas cards. So that is more urgent than finishing a shirt.

My lace stole has theoretically more than one third of the repeats needed. But is far from having one third of the length. Since I’ve used up only a little more than one forth of the yarn it will be no problem to make more repeats.

And when it comes to more urgent… same for my knitting project. The stole is not urgent, but those long lacey fingerless mitts are. Because I am intending to wear them on Sylvester night. If they will be finished, which is not sure. This is only the first one and I have to try it on often. The patter “Helene” by Christine Nölle is only for “normal” mitts, not for long ones. The yarn is Centolavaggi by Filatura di Crosa held double. (And I did light up the picture, the yarn is a very deep and dark navy.)

And my Grannie plaid… is about to become a plaid. I have already more than half of the width, it’s getting difficult to find a place to take a picture. I am curious if my hexagons will be enough…

    LG
