Socks with Heart and Sole

Diese Socken sind eine innerfamiliäre Auftragsarbeit. Gewünscht waren Socken, um damit auf dem Sofa zu lümmeln und übers Parkett zu schleichen. (Oder so.) Da es eine Überraschung werden sollte, konnte ich die Füße vorher nicht messen, daher habe ich mir ein Muster überlegt, daß sich stark dehnen kann und daher dem Fuß auch gut anpasst. (Meine Füße sind länger und breiter als die des Empfängers, daher sitzen die Socken auf den Bildern eher etwas stramm.)

Those socks are a kind of innerfamiliar order. The wish was socks to sit on the sofa and to walk softly over the wooden floor. (Or something like that.) It was supposed to be a surprise, so I could not take precise measurements of the feet. So I created a pattern that is very stretchy and will adapt well to different feet sizes/ shapes. (My feet are longer and larger that those of the receipient, so the socks are quite tight on the pics.)

Als Muster habe ich ein Lochmuster mit Herzen auf dem Fußrücken genommen und ein loftiges Hebemaschenmuster für die Sohle, auf dem man weich läuft. Dazu gibt es noch kleine Herzchen auf dem Schaft.

As pattern I choose hearts as a lace pattern for the foot and a lofty slip stitch pattern for the sole, to walk softly on it. Added are more tiny hearts on the leg part.

Das Garn ist ein normales 4fach Sockegarn von Crelando, genannt “Anika”. (Von Lidl.)

The yarn is a standard 4ply sock woll, “Anika” by Crelando.
