Mein schwarzes Wollkleid sollte noch ein Unterkleid bekommen und das ist jetzt auch fertig.

My black woolen dress needed a slip which I’ve meanwhile finished.

Als Schnitt habe ich wieder den bewährten alten Burdaschnitt genommen, nur diesmal aus Venezia statt aus Seide. Außerdem habe ich alle Teile im “normalen” Fadenlauf zugeschnitten. Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob es daran liegt oder am Stoff, aber es ist deutlich enger, als das andere. Oder ich war bei den französischen Nähten etwas schlampig…

The pattern is again this OOP Burda patter only this time I took Venezia lining fabric instead of silk and all pieces were cut on grain. I don’t know if this is the reason or because the lining fabric is firmer than the silk but the dress is quite tight. Or maybe I was a bit sloppy when doing the french seams…

Den Ausschnitt habe ich diesmal nach außen mit etwas Klöppelspitze verstürzt. (Ich glaube, ich weiß auch noch, von welchem Projekt die übrig ist… dürfte so in den 1990ern gewesen sein.) Der Rest ist wieder mit Dessousgummi eingehalten, allerdings sehr stark, denn länger war der Gummirest nicht.

For the front I used some lace remnant. (I think I still know for what project the lace had been purchased… must have been in the 1990s…) The rest is worked with dessous-elastic. Only this time I’ve stretched the elastic more, because that was really the last piece of it.

Falls ich dann endlich mal dazu kommen, mir ein Kleid zu stricken, ist das Unterkleid jedenfalls schon da. 🙂

If I ever make it to knitting a dress the slip is already there. 🙂
