“Art of cutting” was also needed for my june dress.

The pattern says 2,10 m fabric is needed (and the pattern is very right here….) and I have only 1,80cm of my blue knit. Sure, you can stretch a knit easily that much, but that would not be helpful in the long run…

But by adding a horizontal seam in the back (which is barely visible on the dark, printed fabric) I made it!

The other problem is that I have to lengthen the dress. First by 11cm on the center back to have it even with the front and then another seven to ten centimetres. My knees do not have to be shown… :o)

For that I intend to make a stripe of my fabric for the facing, that should be enough.

Sorry, no pics. My husband took the camera with him… 🙁

But I have been working on the dress, it is not impossible to get the dress finished in time.

Tomorrow will be knitting instead of sewing… it’s wwkip day….
