Summer Socks

SockenMeine Reisesocken sind schon sei geraumer Zeit fertig, aber ich wollte die nächste Hitzewelle abwarten, um ein Photo zu machen. 😉

My sock project for travel has been finished for a while, but I wanted to wait for the next hot days to take the picture.

Die Anleitung ist wieder Geek Socks von Wei S. Leong, diesmal in einer sommerlichen Variante aus Schachenmayer nomotta Regia Cotton in der Färbung “Indian  Color”. Das Garn hat die Farbwechsel leider oft zu schnell, so daß es nicht ganz so gut für dieses Muster geeignet ist. Aber als mir das klar wurde, hatte ich keine Lust mehr, aufzutrennen. Und als Socken erfüllen sie ihren Zweck.

The pattern is Geek Socks by Wei S. Leong again. This time in a summery version made of Schachenmayer nomotta Regia Cotton in the “Indian Color” way. The yarn has to many color changes that go only over one or two rows, so it is not ideal for that pattern. But when that became clear I did not want to rip everything out. And they will fulfill their purpose as socks.

Triangle and Stripe

sock1510Und wieder ein Muster gefunden, mit dem man langweilige Streifenwolle in was interessanteres verwendeln kann. Geek Socks von Wei S. Leong schaffen das mit Hebemaschen. Sehr hübsch.

And again I’ve found a pattern that makes something interesting out of boring selftripeying yarn. This time Geek Socks by Wei S. Leong achieve that with simple slipped stitches.

Nicht ganz so hübsch das “Sockeselfie”… aber so aufregend sind die Socken ja auch nicht. Das Garn war “Anika” von Crelando, von Lidl. Wie üblich habe ich mir nur das Muster selber “gemopst” und sonst meine Standardsocke gestrickt.

The photo, my “sockselfie” is a little less nice… but the socks are not that thrilling. The yarn was “Anika” by Crelando. Like usual I only picked the pattern itself and applied it to my own standard sock.
