(Direkt aneinanderstoßen lasse ich Schnitteile nur im absoluten Notfall, denn dann kann man nicht mehr so exakt und sauber schneiden. Und das wäre gerade bei einem teueren Stoff auch nicht schön.)

(Still I try not to place the pattern parts adjacent, if I can avoid it. This makes cutting less neat and precise and that also would be bad with expensive fabric.)

Allerdings frage ich mich dann auch jedesmal warum ich das tue.

Denn was mache ich mit einem Stoffrest, der ungefähr 70cm breit und einen Meter lang ist? Die Zeit als man aus Wollstoffen noch Sonntagskleidung für kleine Kinder herstellte ist seit den 60ern vorbei.

Naja, die Belege für den Ausschnitt muß ich auch noch zuschneiden..

Because there is nothing useful I could do with a piece of fabric about 70cm large and 1m long? The sixties are over and I think that was the last time when you made cute little sunday outfits for little boys out of not washable woolen fabrics.

Well, I won’t have any problem cutting the facings…
