Linen Sandal Liners

Ich habe ein paar Sandalen, die zur Steigerung der Bequemlichkeit auch am Zehenriemen einen Klettverschluß haben. Leider wird dadurch die Kante sehr hart und reibt mir die Zehen blutig. Nicht praktisch.

Die die Sandalen aber ansonsten recht bequem sind, mußte da Abhilfe her. Die käuflichen Füßline aus Perlon schützen zwar die Zehen, sind aber bei Hitze auch nicht wirklich toll. Also habe ich mal mit einem Rest “Linen” von katia Wolle rumexperimentiert und mir neckische Zehenschoner gestrickt.

I have a pair of sandals where the designer thought, that some velcro on the toe strap would make them easily adjustable and therefor more comfortable. Only this produces a hard edge that scrubs my toes until they bleed. Not so good.

But otherwise they are quite comfy so I like to wear them. I tried nylon sandal liners which are relatively invisible and protect the toes well, only nylons when it’s hot are not the nicest thing to wear. So I grabbed some remenants of a cotton-linen yarn from “katia” and knitted some myself.

Ging einfach, schnell und verbrauchte nicht viel Garn.

Und heute hatten sie ihren ersten Praxistest: Das funktioniert so weit gut, ich habe aber auch gleich noch ein paar Ideen für Verbesserungen beim nächsten Paar.

They were made quickly and didn’t use a lot of yarn. And today I could wear them. Indeed, it works fine. But I have some ideas what to change for the next pair…
