Interesting Facebook Page? Surprisingly it is possible….

Ich bin ja nicht der Fan von Facebook und bislang war mir nicht klar, wozu man das braucht. Natürlich surfe ich gelegentlich auch Seiten von Firmen an, aber normalerweise findet man da gerade mal Selbstbeweihräucherung oder platte Werbung. Bestenfalls mal Öffnungszeiten (die man aber genauso gut auf einer statischen Webseite darstellen könnte). Und eine Menge Dinge, die ich nie wissen wollte…

I am not a big fan of facebook. Mostly because I never understood what it was good for. Of course I am sometimes surfing facebook pages of companies, but I never found more than boring self-praise, most primitive adds and if I am lucky something like opening hours. (Though nothing a simple static web page couldn’t do as well.) Plus a lot of things I never wanted to know.

Aber es geht auch anders, nämlich bei Alterfil. Die können nicht nur gutes Nähgarn, sondern auch eine abwechslungsreiche Facebook-Seite. Mich persönlich interessieren natürlich die Beiträge zu technischen Textilien und Textilkunst besonders. Ich hoffe, sie behalten die Linie bei, dann gibt es immerhin eine sinnvolle Facebook Seite. 😀

But you can do better, as Alterfil does. They do not only make good sewing thread but also a varied facebook page. My personal favorites are the articles about technical textiles and art with thread. I hope they keep it up like that. Then there will be at least one meaningful face book page. 😀
