Wieder mal ein Zufallsfund… und was mich zuerst anzog, war die interessante Präsentation der Stücke sowie die raffinierte Diebstahlsicherung der kleinen Präziosen.

Just by chance I passed that shop and what attracted me first and made me enter was the way how they presented their product and how smart the presentation incorporated a “thief safety” for their tiny precious things.

The shop sells adornement, mostly rings. And to present them in a way you can touch them and try them on but safe in the same time is a challenge. (Which the artists solved in a great way, but I wont tell, you’l have to go and look for yourself. 😉 )

Der Laden verkauft nämlich vor allem Schmuck, besonders Ringe. Und diese anfaßbar und gleichzeitig sicher zu präsentieren ist eine Herausforerung. (Die in diesem Fall exzellent gelöst wurde, aber wer das sehen will, muß selber vorbeigehen. 😉 )

Schlicht und jeweils einzigartig ist der Schmuck, aus edlen Hölzern und Metall. Und da die alte Tradition der Künstler auf dem Montmartre noch nicht ganz tot ist, werden die Teile tatsächlich vom Künstler vor Ort gefertigt und man kann durch die Glasscheibe zusehen oder auch ein Schwätzchen halten.

Wer es also schlicht und trotzdem ausgefallen mag, dem sei der Weg empfohlen. Und wer lieber noch ein bißchen Deko für die Wohnung sucht… auch das findet man dort.

Everything is simple and one of a kind, made from wood and metal. Plus it keeps the old Mantmartre-tradition as a place where artists live and work, so everything is made in the tiny atelier behind the small shop. So you can see how things are made through a window or talk to the artist yourself.

So if simple but special is your style that’s a place to go. And if you better want to decorate your house instead of yourself.. they offer interesting items for that purpose, too.
