Diesen durften also meine Socken aus Schewes “Socks’ Wool Lucca” (und Alterfil S150 Nähgarn, in der Hoffnung, die Socken so reißfester zu bekommen) auch sehen und zumindest in Form des Logos war auch die Maschenkunst dabei. 🙂
So my socks from Schewe’s “Socks’ Wool Lucca” (plus Alterfil S150 sewing thread, because I am still trying to make the socks more sturdy for my brother’s special destroying forces) got this view also, together with the Maschenkunst label.
Nein, meine Stola ist nicht fertig, aber da die Weihnachtssaison naht, habe ich ein dringenderes Werk begonne. Socken. (Außerdem merkt sich das Bordürenmuster der Stola nicht so gut und damit ist sie zum Reisen ohnehin weniger geeignet.)
No, my shawl isn’t finished yet but Christmas is getting closer, so I started a more urgent project. Socks. (Also the border pattern of the shawl doesn’t memorize that well so it is less suitable for travel knitting.)
Mein Bruder hat die, die er im März bekam schon wieder kaputt gemacht (am Schaft, bitteschön!) und neue “bestellt”. Und eben jene sind das langweilig graue, was hinter dem Maschenkunst-Label hervorlugt. Garn ist diesmal Sock’s Wool Lucca von Schewe, gekauft bei Karstadt, ich denke mal im Sonderangebot. Muster wird wie meistens selbst improvisiert.
My brother already “killed” (on the leg/cuff part!) the socks he got in March, so he “ordered” the next pair for Christmas. And that is the boring grey stuff you can see peeking from behind the Maschenkunst Logo. Yarn is Socks’ Wool Lucca from Schewe this time, purchased at Kaufhof, probably when it was on sale. Pattern is my improvisation as mostly for socks.

Der Lace Stola aus Artyarns Silk Mohair aus der Maschenkunst ist inzwischen ein bißchen mehr Rand gewachsen, aber nicht viel mehr.

Aber die Stola durfte die Sonne genießen, diesmal im Parc de la Villette in Paris. (Was ein seltenes Ereignis ist. Weniger wegen dem Park, aber wegen der Sonne in diesem Sommer.)
But it was allowed to enjoy the sun in Parc de la Villette in Paris. (Which is rare. Not for the parc, but for the sun this year.)
Ich fürchte, diesmal leichtes “Thema verfehlt”, das Logo ist nicht so gut lesbar… Aber ihr habt es ja jetzt schon so oft gesehen, ihr wisst wie es aussieht. 😉
This picture probably does not really count because the Logo is not so well visible. But everyone has seen it that often, that you know how it looks. 😉

Theoretisch stricke ich ja systematisch ein Teil nach dem anderen.
Theoretically I am knitting one piece after the other.
Praktisch kam die Herbst Knitty raus und ich mußte diese Mütze haben. Das war die Mütze, auf die ich seit Jahren gewartet habe, die Mütze, die mir wirklich gefällt und die ich tragen werde.
Und bei dem Juli Wetter war eine Alpaca Mütze stricken absolut okay.
What happened in real was that Knitty First Fall was out and I had to make this hat. That’s the hat I have been waiting for for years, the hat I really liked and the hat I would wear.
And since July was cold knitting an alpaca hat felt perfectly okay.
Garn ist “Alpaca Andes” von katia aus der Maschenkunst, gestrickt mit 4er Nadelspiel.
Da ich die Anweisungen für Garn und Maschenprobe etwas verwirrend fand, habe ich die nötige Anzahl der Maschen aus bisherigen Mützen interpoliert, habe zwei Rapporte in der Weite zugefügt und an verschiedenen Stellen immer wieder eine Reihe mehr gemacht, um auf die passende Höhe zu kommen.
Und bin mit meinem Ergebnis sehr zufrieden. 🙂
The yarn I’ve used is “Alpaca Andes” by katia, purchased at Maschenkunst and knit with 4mm needles.
I’ve found the instructions regarding yarn, gauge and size of needles a bit confusing and partially contradictory, so I choose the yarn I liked, guessed the number of stitches and got away with it. I had to add to repeats of the pattern for the right circumference and I added several rounds here and there to get the right height.
And I am happy with my result. 🙂

Das war der Ort, an dem ich entdeckte, daß fast alle Maschen der Bordüre von der Nadel gerutscht waren! Fastzinierenderweise hat das Silk Mohair von Artyarns aus der Maschenkunst (ich weiß, ihr könnt es nicht mehr hören, aber wir wollen uns ja an die “Regeln” halten… 😉 ) die Maschen gehalten und ich konnte selbst die doppelten Umschläge wieder sicher auf die Nadel zurück befördern. *UFF*
That was the place where I detected that I had dropped nearly all stitches from the border pattern from my needle! But this amazing Silk Mohair from Artyarns (purchased at Maschenkunst, you all know by now, but I will stick to the “rules” of the game… 😉 ) kept the shape so well that I could pick them up again without any loss. Not even for the double yarn overs. *UFF*
Diesmal war mein Lace Schal wirklich auf Reisen und das Bild kommt aus Palma.
This time my shawl did really travel so the picture was taken in Palma.
Zum Stricken kam ich allerdings null, zumal ich ihn lieber im aufgegebenen Gepäck gelassen habe.

I’ve dragged the knitting around but I didn’t knit one stitch. On the plane I would have had the time, but I didn’t want to risk anything so I put it in the checked luggage.
(In case anyone hasn’t noticed yet, it is still the pattern from Victorian Lace Today knitted with Artyarn’s Silk Mohair purchased at Maschenkunst.)
P.S.: Ich finde es schade, daß so wenige bei der Aktion mitmachen. Deswegen… man muß gar nicht Maschenkunst Kunde sein, um mitzuspielen, das Logo von der Webseite runterladen und ausdrucken genügt um Bilder zu machen. Bitte schöne, ich will Augenfutter. *gg*

This time my knitting travelled an ICE train.
Farblich paßte es da ganz gut rein, irgendwie. 🙂 (Ja, immer noch die Stola aus Artyarns Silk Mohair aus der Maschenkunst… ich finde Lace so praktisch zum mitnehmen, weil es nicht viel wiegt und ein Projekt lange ausgibt.)
Color fits nicely, somehow. 🙂 (Yes, still the lace shawl from Artyarns’ Silk Mohair purchased at Maschenkunst. I like lace projects for travel because the projects have not much weight and compress well. And one project goes a long way and keeps me occupied.)
