Lecker Hütchen…

Yummy headgear

FederhütchenThis year I went to a Carneval event for the first time since I am in Cologne. So I am not well equipped with costumes but at least a funny head piece had to be made.

My base was a piece of “Bosal-in-R-form” stabilizer, covered with a piece of white cloth. The stabilizer is great for that purpose, because it holds the shape well but I can also stitch through it. The feathers were two “featherbushes” I’d purchased that was and attached with a few handstitches. The “Petit Four” is a kind of foam plastic so I could stitch through and attach it also that way. The I added the beads.

On the bottom I’ve sewn another piece of cloth by hand and then I attached a hair pin with a few hand stitches.

I’ve already used it and it worked fine, looking cure. 🙂 Only the hair slide (or whatever that type is called in English) did not make it through the whole representation of “Brings”. Next time I should use another additional hair pin…
