Winter Sky in Paris – Pattern for a minicape/ maxicowl

Hier erst einmal das versprochene Photo.

Ich trage das Teil viel, seit es fertig ist, denn es paßt sowohl über den Pulli (unter die Jacke), ersetzt dort den Schal und schützt an zugigen Orten die Schultern, als auch über einen engen Mantel, wo es nicht nur für Wärme sorgt, sondern als Fashion-Statement gleich drei Trends dieses Winters aufgreift: den Poncho/Cape-Trend, den Grobstrick-Trend und die Trendfarbe grau. 🙂

I’am actually wearing it a lot since it is finished. I can wear it over a sweater (under a coat) where it keeps the neck warm, replacing a scarf and also protects she shoulders in drafty places. Or I wear ot over a tight fitting coat for extra warmth, but also as fashion statement which fits in three of this winter’s trends: The poncho/cape trend, the knitwear trend and the fashion color gray. 🙂

Also ein einfaches Teil, mit dem man Basiskleidung auch gleich modisch anpassen kann. Ohne daß jeder zweite damit rumläuft, weil es bei dieser oder jener Kette gerade im Angebot war.

So an easy to make piece that gives any simple basic clothes a fashionable touch. Without having to wear something that is worn by everyone else because it was on sale at one of the big clothes retailers.

Trotzdem will ich das Geheimnis der Anfertigung nicht für mich behalten, hier ist die Anleitung für alle: Winter Sky in Paris.

5er Nadeln und dickes „Merino Sport“ von katja (Was man in ganz vielen Farben in der Maschenkunst bekommt, auch wenn der Webshop das nicht vermuten läßt) sind schon fast eine Gelinggarantie. Und wer sich bisher nicht an Socken getraut hat, weil ihm dünne Nadeln UND rund stricken zu viel neues auf einmal waren…. der kann damit schon mal das Rundstricken üben. 🙂

But I don’t intend to keep the „how to make it“ a secret, here is the patter for all who need a bit more warmth also: Winter Sky in Paris.

Aran weight „Merino Sport“ yarn from katia, #8 (5mm) needles (which you can order from Maschenkunst in many colors, even though the web shop does not show them) will make it a quick project that hardly can go wrong. And if you were afraid to knit socks, because you thought knitting in the round and using thin needles would be to much new… take this to practise knitting in the round and then cast on your first socks. 🙂
