Okay, the riddle was easy to solve, it’s a bra wire that has been cut, well sanded and then covered with varnish. One thin coat at a time and many of them…

Romatische Altstadt, Kirchen besichtigen, was Leckeres essen,… was man eben so macht.

As the last riddle was evidently way to easy here another one:

Where have I been yesterday?

Yesterday my sweetheart and I went on an outing, to another town. Visiting a romantic historic town center, interesting churches, having a nice lunch,.. what you’re typically doing when you visit another place..

What came quite unexpected (to my darling even more than to me) was that at this place there were several fabric stores and a yarn shop. I’ve only entered two of the fabric stores, the first one was nice to watch and touch, but to expensive for a spontaneous buy. The other one was huge and had also a large area with interesting offers and bargains. So in the end I picked that soft and drapey knit. The basic colour is wormer and more yellowish than what my screen shows, the print is in different shades of grey. About the material they couldn’t tell me anything… I guess it is either polyester or viscose. At least it feels good and soft. And the price was very okay for that.

I’ve also picked a sewing journal with patterns included. I had tried to get it in Paris, but couldn’t find it there the last time. But yesterday I had to buy it.

Katze im GartenWhere I did not enter was the yarnshop. Sometimes you have to think about your man… 😉

Of course I could not resist to take a picture of this sooo cute kitty in a wild-romantic garden. She was sleeping there, cleansing herself a bit and then going back to sleep.

No chance to make her come closer to the gate or pet her a bit.

The garden was part of the terrace of a restaurant which was as closed as the gate…

And then, when we were back to the car, trying to find our way out of that cute historic city center… I spotted this sign A knitting Cafe!

For some absolutely nonunderstandable reasons my husband refused to let me out of the car… 😉 (After he had found out what my exalted screams where about… :o) ) :

So I have no more than this blurred picture and a look from the car through the nice shop-window into a very neat yarn shop. But that was enough to spot a second room in the background where people were sitting and knitting.

If I’ll ever make it back into that city I will have to come back there. If I can find it again….

Oh, and after visiting the historic center we went to the rather new train station. Which is unproportionall huge if you ask me and not finished yet. (But already due to the first renovations, if you ask me…)

Honestly… I have not the slightest idea whether it is possible to guess the place. Even for those who know the city. (If any of them are reading my blog…) But any guess is welcome.. the country? Maybe even the city? Have fun! And I am curious to read if anyone knows it… 😉
